Hey Guys!
Hope you found this alright! I'll be trying to use this medium more often in the future to connect with you guys at least a bit more.
This week, let's remind ourselves that "from the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks" (Mt 12:34). What we say is a measurement of what we feel. We we do outside is a measurement of who we are on the inside.
Let's watch ourselves in these specific ways this week, for remember what James said: "For if we could control our tongues, we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way" (James 3:2, NLT). Therefore, let us ...
1. Speak more kindly to family
2. Speak more kindly to teachers and peers (even when they get on your nerves)
3. Being willing to talk about Jesus confidently
4. No longer feel the need to swear or use bad language
5. No longer feel the need to lose your temper
6. Quit pointing out faults in other people
7. Complain Less or not at all
It is my prayer and belief that if we control our tongues, it will control our lives in a different way, and we will become better servants of Jesus Christ in a radical way we may not have known before.
Just like diction in an acapella group. The tongue may be a small thing, but if we concentrate on it, maybe we can see big changes happening in our lives.
